A revelation came to me when I participated in the Sorting Grading Classing (SGC) Workshop offered through SUNY College. Commercial Fiber buyers do not expect to purchase fiber lots where all of the staples are the EXACT length, but rather they buy it according to a staple length that falls within a certain range, often referred to as woolen or worsted.
