Congratulations to Andrea & Dean Mills, Blue Moon Farm on their recent half interest purchase of LAAF Paladin's Aticus.  We are thrilled to have them partner with us in this up and coming Jr. Herdsire.  Aticus championed as a Juvenile and has continued to hold a beautiful fleece into his second shearing season.  He should be breeding starting this Spring, 2013 so check back for an opportunity to purchase an introductory breeding.  Andrea and Dean have been busy readying their new farm in Virginia and enjoying their big change in lifestyle.  Something many of us in the alpaca business can relate to as well!!!

Visitors are always welcome.  We are busy scheduling bus tours and other tour groups for the summer.  We can accomodate large groups or small. During the hot summer months, we schedule our tours in the morning hours or occassionally in the evening.  Plan to spend two hours touring the facility and learning all about these amazing animals.  Get up close, have your photo taken, give them a handful of hay or grain.  Even sneek a hug!  Then learn about their super soft and warm fiber.  We'll show you how to dye and spin yarn and you can shop in our gift shoppe.  All materials are included and for you to take home and practice.   If you are in the area, you can take a chance and stop by but it's better to call first.  You will probably find us out in the barn or somewhere in the fields and if it's hot, follow the hose.....the alpacas love the water!!!!!!! Our facilities can accomodate tour buses and we are easily accessible, but please, no pets.  The Alpaca Fiber and Clothing Shop has a nice selection of....Read more

We really enjoy watching visitors when they see and touch our alpacas for the first time.  Most people are utterly amazed at the softness and sheer amount of fleece.  Everyone loves to warm their hands by sinking them into that soft and warm fleece!  After that most people are surprised at their gentle nature and curiosity.  If you stand still, the alpacas can't resist but to come over and say hello, maybe nibble on your shoe or hair.  And if you bend over, the little boys especially like to climb on your back and whisper in your ear!  One thing for sure--you'll be glad you stopped by for a visit!!!

Multiple Champion LAAF Eros has his first cria on the ground as of Spring 2011.  And they are incredible!!  Perfect conformation, dense, and super fine and bright.  He was bred to our Genesis, a classic silver grey female, and she produced one of the finest classic silver greys we've put our hands on--LAAF Triumph.  His other breeding was to LA Indira, a fading fawn female with great genetics, and together they produced a fawn female, LAAF Cosette, who is incredibly dense, has super fine and bright fleece and exhibits perfect conformation.  Needless to say, Eros has had a busy breeding season this year and we are putting him on some of our best.  We are no longer offering the introductory breeding fee but his fee of Read more

We currently own 100 or so alpacas and many are for sale.  With a herd of this size and new ones arriving regularly, many are never listed on our website. We would be happy to discuss our program and alpaca sales/breeding, including financing, packages, and trades.  Our goal in breeding alpacas has been to develop and refine a program, that is uniquely identifiable and with measureable goals.  Inherent in these goals is top quality fleece and animal husbandry excellence as measured by all herd statistics.  We offer alpacas in every color and ranging from Championship winners to well managed fiber animals.
